Louis Ralph Daniels

Louis Ralph Daniels 78, of Moses Lake passed away on June 1st, 2011 at the Lake Ridge Solana Alzheimer's Care Center in Moses Lake. Louis was born on May 16th, 1933 in Port Angeles, WA. to Clifford W. and Rose Marie Daniels.

Louis lived in Neah Bay, WA. From 1933-1940 then his family moved to Stanfield Or. He lived in Stanfield until he joined the Army in February 1953. Louis served our country from 1953-1956 as a Military Police Dog handler in Korea and Japan. In 1957 Louis moved to Seattle, Washington where he met Rosemary Sweere. They were married on November 29th, 1957 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Their marriage and love lasted 53 ? years. Rosemary's love and dedication to Lou as his wife and care giver was apparent to all that knew them during the 4 years he battled Alzheimer's.

Lou worked for US Plywood in Seattle for 26 years and finished his career with the City of Mountlake Terrace. In July 2003 Louis and Rosemary moved to Moses Lake to enjoy their retirement Lou's hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and gardening. During his gardening years in Moses Lake, he was known as Mr. Gardener as he brought boxes of fresh vegetables to the Moses Lake Food Bank. His smoked salmon that he made was A#1. Louis was a stand up guy who always did the right thing and was someone that you could always count on to be there for you. From his youth Lou earned a reputation of being a hard worker who gave it his best each day. He was an excellent hunting camp cook who is greatly missed.

Louis and Rosemary have 2 children Duane Daniels (Spanaway, WA.) and Cynthia Johnston (Lynnwood, WA.) Louis is survived by his Wife Rosemary, Son Duane Daniels, Daughter Cynthia, Johnston, Daughter- in-law Gretchen, Son in law Roy, Grandchildren Erik & Jessica Daniels, Tianna, Stephen, Skyler, Shiloh Johnston, Laura Thrailkill and Great Grandchildren Hannah, Hunter Arieana and Isaiah.

The Daniels Family extend special thanks and appreciation to Judy & Steve Hansen, Lake Ridge Nursing home caregivers and the employees of Sporty's Tavern for the love and care that they gave to Lou and Rosemary.

Lou has now Gone Fishing and eating a bucket of Sporty's chicken and fish!
