Meeting set to inform Crescent Bar folks

QUINCY - Grant County Emergency Management will have a community outreach forum here on Saturday, June 11 for Crescent Bar area residents.

The meeting will take place at the Grant County Fire District No. 3 fire station at 1201 S. Central Ave. The purpose is to discuss potential hazards and to gather input and assistance from local citizens, said GCEM Director Sam Lorenz.

"In 2009 and 2010, the Crescent Bar area was impacted by large wildfires which threatened the safety of residents," Lorenz said. "Through this forum we hope to teach citizens how to prepare for and protect themselves from all varieties of emergencies."
