Soccer league asks for fields in Mattawa

MATTAWA - The adult soccer league in Mattawa asked the city council, at its last meeting, to develop new fields to accommodate the growing organization.

Mary Judy Esser answered for the city, telling league officials there is no available land. However, Esser said she will speak to the Department of Natural Resources to see if it has any land nearby that the city can acquire.
