Zacarias Pichardo

Zacarias V. Pichardo, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church immediately followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Thursday, July 28th. Burial will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L. N.E., Moses Lake. He is survived by his lovely wife, Cruz Pichardo of 55 years of marriage, his children, Daniel & Corina Pichardo, Rey & Shirley Pichardo, Celia Mabry (Esquiel), Delia & Juan Preciado , Diana Pichardo (Juan), Alfredo Pichardo, Johnny Pichardo; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren.

Zacarias was born on Sept. 6, 1930 in Charlotte, Texas. He served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was a corporal and honorably discharged with a purple heart. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, playing the accordion, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

His smile brought joy to all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio and Ruperta Pichardo, 4 siblings, and 3 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
