Robert (Leroy) Longston, 77, long time resident of Moses Lake, passed away at his home on July 23, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at Kayser's Chapel. Burial will be at 2:15 p.m. at the Washington State Veteran's Cemetery, 21702 W. Espanola Rd., Medical Lake, Washington. Viewing will be from noon to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28th at Kayser's Chapel. He graduated from Manson High School in 1952 then went to Wenatchee Valley Community College for 2 years. In the summer of 1954 he joined the Army for 2 years and served in Korea, being honorably discharged in 1956. He married Janice in 1959 and they had two children, Robin and Chris, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He married Peggy in 1975 who had four children (one passed away in 1985), nine grandchildren & four great grandchildren. Leroy is also survived by one sister and brother in law from Shoreline, two nieces and husbands and two great nieces and one great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one sister.

He had lots of trades, but his most important ones were cows, farming & trucks. His favorite past time was wheeling & dealing. He loved going to Yuma, AZ in the winter & riding motorcycles.

In lieu of flowers please give to your favorite charity. I want to thank Leroy's caregiver, Margaret , hospice for their kindness & care of Leroy, and to our very good friends.
