River Dogs 2-2 at weekend tournament
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Columbia Basin River Dogs split at Northwest Baseball Classic in Corvallis, Ore.
The River Dogs went 2-for-4 in the tournament, losing their first two games and bouncing back for their final two outings.
Cameron Alvarado (Moses Lake) went 5-for-7 in three games at the plate, making him the River Dogs' best performer of the weekend. He missed the final game of the tournament with a sore shoulder.
Northwest Star Academy of Portland and the Zoots, of Danville, Calif., took the River Dogs down 2-1 and 3-2, respectively.
The team came back with a 7-0 victory over the Northern California all-stars and finished off the tournament with a 7-3 win again Portland Baseball.
