Earline Gambriel

Earline Eleanor Gambriel, ninety years old, passed away July 7, 2011 of natural causes at her home in Soap Lake, Washington.

Born September 20, 1920 to Earl and Elsa Bennett in Portland, Oregon, she graduated from St. Helens High School in 1938. She went on to graduate from beauty school in Portland, Oregon as well as attending University of Washington in Seattle, where she was a Phi Beta Cappa.

Earline was teaching at a beauty school when she met and married Dr. Robert (Doc) Gambriel on July 10, 1949 in Seattle, Washington.

She was a housewife and a chiropractic-naturopathic assistant at the "Gambriel Health Center" which they owned and operated for thirty five years in Soap Lake.

Earline was an active member of the Community Evangelical Free Church of Soap Lake.

The Soap Lake Boat Club, The Women's Improvement Club, and had been involved in the Jaycettes where she was Secretary in 1955, and President in 1957. Earline was also an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention for Ronald Regan in 1980.

Earline is survived by her five children Suzette Slipper, Daniel Gambriel, David Gambrielle, Vance Gambriel, and Janette Bergen. She also has eight grand-children and nine great-grandchildren. She was a very beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Her hospitality and enthusiasm for life were contagious. Her joy, smile and optimism will live in our hearts forever. We rejoice knowing she is with the Lord our God!

Viewing will be held Friday July 15, 2011 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata, Washington. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Evangelical Free Church in Soap Lake, Washington with burial to follow at Valley View Memorial Cemetery.
