Tom Harris tops men's golf play

CRESCENT BAR - Tom Harris was the first place winner in the first division in men's day action at the Crescent Bar Golf Course on June 29.

The competition was low net score with closest-to-the-pin (KP) at holes Nos. 3/12 and 5/14. Harris shot 62.

Evan Mickelson scored 63 to take second place in the division, and Bill Sprague took third place with a 66.

In the second division, the winner was Bob Wells with 68. Shooting 69 for second place was Burt Lucas. Wes Prinzen and Larry Aliment tied for third with 70.

KP on hole No 3/12 went to Joe Quintanilla. Mickelson took KP on hole No. 5/14.

Birdies were scored by Sprague, Don Demuth and Jerry Riddle on hole No. 15, by Mickelson on hole No. 7 and hole No. 10, by Harris on holes Nos. 3, 10 and 16, by Lucas, Quintanilla and Wells on hole No. 5 and by Prinzen on hole No. 10.
