Dr. Carlson wins $2,500 for Royal High science

ROYAL CITY - Dr. Eric Carlson's video for the Science WoRx contest on the Internet was the winning video.

Carlson's video received 745 "likes" and took the first prize of $2,500. The funds will be used for purchase of supplies and equipment for the Royal High Science Department.

Dr. Carlson is the head of Royal High Science. He hopes to purchase electronic balances, a high voltage transformer, chemical storage bottles and other needs for his chemistry, physics and physical science classes.

"We'd like to thank everyone in town who voted to 'like' the video," Carlson said.
