Anne Garke

Anne Elma (Schmauder) Garke, 96, of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

She was born June 10, 1915 to Jacob and Christine Schmauder in Ruff, Wa. and raised there. Later she worked at the Seattle Port of Embarkation when she married Roy Garke December 7, 1943. They raised their family in Wenatchee. He preceded her in death in 1997. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Berry of Electric City and Karen Olson of Bremerton, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild: and her sister, Martha Wieltschnig of Seattle. Anne also had many relatives in the Moses Lake area.
