MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake teen Caitlynn Lawson faced elimination for the first time on Thursday's episode of the TV show "So You Think You Can Dance?"

Her solo performance saved her and both she and partner Mitchell Kelly will go on to perform again next Wednesday.

Miranda Maleski and Robert Taylor Jr. were the dancers eliminated.

Lawson and Kelly danced a Samba routine Wednesday that choreographer Jean-Marc Genereux described as "hot and spicy."

According to the judges, the dancers were incredible.

Judge Mary Murphy said the performance was "spectacular" and praised Lawson's leg and foot work.

Guest judge Kristin Chenoweth delivered an animated assessment.

"Shut the front door," she exclaimed. "Shut the back door. Shut the garage door. Shut all the doors!"

"We might need some ventilation," said guest judge Lil' C.

Judge Nigel Lythgoe said the articulation of Lawson's body was "fantastic."

"Where you put your body leaves us no doubt it's going in the right places," he told Lawson.

The remaining 14 dancers perform again next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on FOX. Viewers can vote online at www.fox.com/dance or call or text numbers displayed during the performance show.
