Honors spread out over women's field

CRESCENT BAR - There were no three or four-time winners in Women's Day play at the Crescent Bar Golf Course on June 21.

There were three double winners, and five other women scored single honors. The shot of the day was turned in by Laurie Leahy when she won closest-to-the-pin (KP) in the second division with an effort of six feet, three inches.

Mavis Bennett was one of the double winners. She had the best gross score in the first division with 106. She won the game of the day - best nine, front or back - with 51.

Kathy Kneip was a double winner. She took low net in division 2 with 71 and long putt with a en effort of 4-1.5.

Leahy was the third double winner. She added second division game of the day to her haul with a 58. She was tied by Wendy Smith, who shot 58.

The division 1 gross winner was Gloria Trevethan with 122. Wilma Deleeuw won second division low net with 76.

Susie Filipovich won KP in division 1 with a tee shot that landed 25-7 from the hole. Margaret Linder won division 1 long putt with a shot of 5-9.5.
