COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Due to the information that was in one of your letters to the editor, on Monday, I attended Grant County Commissioner's public comment time held on Mondays at 10:30 in the Commissioner's hearing room.

It is so refreshing that our County Commissioners offer this time to the public, but they are wondering why more citizens of Grant County are taking advantage of this opportunity?

This is the time to talk with your elected officials. With everything happening in Grant County, it is amazing that they give the public this opportunity. I admire them for doing so, as I can just imagine, the unbelievable mass of information, requests, and decision making that they have to do each day.

I found all three of the Commissioners very interested in the information that a Grant County Small Business owner provided. The sad tale, is that I was the only person attending this public comment time.

Do you have a suggestion on how this wonderful opportunity for Grant County residents can be advertised? Maybe having one of your reporters attend this public comment time, and reporting on it. Another suggestion, putting it on the second page of happenings in the week?

Again, I would like to thank the Commissioners for their valuable and sincere time.
