Girls basketball: Ellensburg 46, EPHRATA 36

ELLENSBURG - The Ephrata Lady Tigers finished off a disappointing weekend with a 46-36 Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) loss at Ellensburg on Saturday.

Ephrata led 10-6 at the end of the first quarter and then the host Bulldogs took control from there.

Abby Smith led the Lady Tigers with 11 points.

On Friday, Ephrata dropped a 69-41 decision at the Class 2A number one ranked team, Prosser.

The Lady Tigers were within striking range - down 36-25 at halftime - before being undone by a 17-2 Prosser third quarter.
