OTHELLO - When it mattered, Jacob Durfee made a big splash.

With a minute to go in his Quincy Jacks' game at Othello on Friday, the wing found the ball in his hands and his team's fate as well.

All Durfee did was drain a go-ahead three-pointer and the Jacks would thwart to last possessions by the host Huskies to lead Quincy to a 61-58 win in Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) play.

Durfee finished with 19 points and Luke Grigg added 17 points for Quincy (5-9, 3-9).

Othello was led by Drew Scott's 27 points while David Garza added 14 points in the loss.

Saturday night, Othello (4-9, 2-9) dropped a 53-45 home decision to East Valley.

A 16-4 third quarter gave East Valley a 40-27 lead and they cruised from their.

Caleb Garza led Othello with 17 points.

The Jacks' couldn't use the momentum from their big win on Saturday as they fell 51-47 to visiting Grandview.

Mario Martinez led Quincy with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
