Icy roads lead to at least 25 Grant County collisions
A Chevrolet Suburban slid off of the roadway and ended up in a portion of the Potholes Reservoir, near Dodson Road South, roughly three miles south of I-90. Officials said the SUV slid on an ice-covered roadway.

Most vehicles were unable to gain traction on icy roads and ended up in ditches or at the bottom of roadways, stated Grant County Emergency Management spokesman Kyle Foreman.
Collision numbers peaked during the morning commute, according to Foreman.
By 10:30 a.m., collisions decreased and road crews were able to apply sand and de-icer to most of the roadways.
Three county roads were temporarily closed due to icy conditions.
Road Three Northeast and Road Seven Northeast were closed for 45 minutes.
Harris Road Northeast was closed for about 30 minutes, said Foreman.
No weather-related emergencies were reported as of Friday afternoon, according to Foreman.
Weather forecasters say the Columbia Basin area should expect colder temperatures and more snow this week.
