Quincy man shot multiple times

QUINCY - An alleged Quincy gang member was taken to the hospital after he sustained multiple gunshot wounds late Wednesday night.

Saul Gamboa, 27, Quincy, was reportedly leaving a relatives' house when he was shot multiple times by unknown suspects, Quincy policeĀ  Sgt. Paul Snyder stated Thursday.

It is unknown if the shooting is gang-related, he stated.

Gamboa was transported using a private car to Quincy Valley Medical Center where he was treated and stabilized before being taken to Central Hospital for further treatment.

He had surgery Thursday morning and is in serious condition, stated Snyder.

Police said neither Gamboa nor the relative was fully cooperating with the investigation.

No suspect information has been provided.
