Selzo 'Sal' Sandoval

| February 23, 2011 5:00 AM

In

Loving Memory of Selzo “Sal” Sandoval, age 66, longtime Moses Lake

resident.

On

February 13, 2011 the Lord took our father to heaven. He was the

greatest father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He was a man of

great dignity and integrity. He earned the respect of all that knew

him. He always made family his first priority. Our dad met the love

of his life Linda Rojas Torres, and together they made a warm

loving home for their children and anybody else who needed a place

to stay. They lived and loved each other in wedded bliss for 35

years.

Sal served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the

Vietnam War. He was a very hardworking man; he drove truck for

Cenex for 23 years until his retirement in December of 2009. He

loved visiting his son Ray in Arizona, so that is where he decided

to make his new home shortly after retiring. The weather was just

what he needed, and being able to be closer to his

grandchildren.

Sal is survived by his children and their family; daughter Evie and

Mingo Martinez, Ricky Rocha Jr., Justin, Jennifer, Jordan, Jessica,

and Jamie Martinez. Son Raymundo Torres, Lisa, Kandice, Brittney,

Tiffany, and Saltiago Torres. Daughter Annette Holm and Mike

Fabian, Spencer, Aliya, Mya Holm, Zac, Austin, Addy, and Luke

Fabian; 25 great-grandchildren, nieces America and Peter Arnold,

Norma Mejia, and Thelma Mejia and her son Bajyn; brothers Richard

Sandoval and Freddy Salazar; sister Oralia Arnold; and very dear

friend – his sunshine Olga Hernandez.

Sal was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Manuela (Medina)

Sandoval, his beloved wife of 35 years Linda, daughter Lisa Torres,

grandson Joey Martinez, nephew Adam Sandoval, and dear friends Juan

Hernandez Sr., and Phillip Raya.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30 a.m., with Mass of
