MOSES LAKE - This year's Columbia Basin Herald Bridal Show will be held at a new location on Saturday - Big Bend Community College's ATEC Center.

The show is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The ATEC Center is located at 7662 Chanute St., NE, Moses Lake.

Admission is free.

The wedding attire fashion show begins at 2 p.m., featuring models from Moses Lake, Ephrata and Quincy.

"One of the big differences (from last year) is that it's at ATEC," said Lynn Garza, Columbia Basin Herald event coordinator. "We're really excited to have all of our exhibitors and vendors in one room. I think it's going to be a nicer venue for us this year."

On Thursday, nearly 50 vendors signed up to take part in the event.

They represent a variety of bridal businesses, which offer disc jockeys, party rentals, caterers, gowns, cakes, invitations, photographers, gifts, beauticians, weight loss programs and honeymoon destinations.

"There's a lot," Garza sad. "The caterers we have will (offer) sample food. There's a photo booth vendor. That's one of the big things at a wedding."

Photo booths have become popular because guests are dressed up, having fun and together with family.

Wedding guests tend to pile into the photo booth.

"There are a lot of new things in the wedding industry," she commented. "There are so many things that are offered as options that weren't 10 or 15 years ago. It's a great way to see what we have available in Grant County and the surrounding area. There are many specialized businesses. We have vendors from Moses Lake, Quincy, Wenatchee, Kennewick and Richland."

The vendors are there to provide attendees with a list of services and also show what they can do.

Attendees can enter to win a two-night stay at The Coeur d'Alene Resort and a wedding gown.

"It's lots of fun," Garza commented. "There are definitely more vendors than last year. I'm really excited. I think this is going to be a good show."
