Diane was born on April 08, 1935 in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Arthur and Marie Decker. She graduated from Teachers College in Lincoln NE. and went to work for Bell Telephone as an operator. On July 30, 1955 she married Donald E. Mottaz in Grand Island NE. Early in her marriage she moved to many parts of the U.S. as her husband's job required, finally settling and putting down roots in Moses Lake. She spent her married life as a homemaker, making sure that her husband and children were all well cared for.

Diane loved her Lord Jesus and enjoyed reading the Bible, teaching Bible studies and fellowship with her many close friends and church sisters. Her unwavering faith and trust in God was a testament to all who knew her. She loved working in her garden and getting out of the house, especially looking forward to her Friday breakfasts out with her son-in-law. She will be greatly missed by her family, church family and others that she touched.

Diane was preceded in death by her loving husband Don, her parents, two brothers, and granddaughter Stacy Jo.

Diane is survived by her son Donald Arthur Mottaz and his wife Sheri and family of Issaquah WA; Richard Randall Mottaz and his wife Sheila of Pasco WA; and daughter Patricia Anne Mullenix and her husband Robert and family of Ephrata WA; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mom, you will be greatly missed until we meet again in heaven.
