Steve F. Hitchcock

Steve F. Hitchcock passed away February 8, 2011 in Moses Lake, WA. Born May 19, 1931 in Prelate Saskatchewan, Canada, he moved to Moses Lake in the early 1950s.

Steve was an extremely hard worker and was appointed as the first ever Marshall for the newly incorporated Westlake, WA along with serving many other lead positions for that community. He spent most of his adult life farming in Block 89. He was a great friend and neighbor, committed foster parent, skilled pianist, and easy laugh. Steve is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Margaret Hitchcock, his sister Beatrice Gies, three infant sons Donald, Daniel, and Michael, foster daughter Ramona Jackson Jensen, and several dear friends.

He is survived by his adoring wife Loretta and five children: Tom Hitchcock, Spokane; Sheldon (Marie) Hitchcock, Moses Lake, Vicky (Dan) Roseburg, Moses Lake; Kelly (Doug) Bundy, Spokane; Jeff Hitchcock, Moses Lake; his brother Vance (Trasey) Hitchcock, his sister Dona Roe, and many dearly loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and in-laws.

A celebration of Steve's life will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road, Moses Lake, WA. Please sign the book or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com
