Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City

of Othello City Hall, 500 East Main Street, Othello, Washington

99344, up to 11:00 A.M.; local time on March 3, 2011, for

furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and

guarantees thereof, for the Lions and Kiwanis Parks Lighting

Improvements.

CITY OF OTHELLO

LIONS AND KIWANIS PARKS LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS

Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of Othello City Hall, 500 East Main Street, Othello, Washington 99344, up to 11:00 A.M.; local time on March 3, 2011, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof, for the Lions and Kiwanis Parks Lighting Improvements.

This Contract provides for the following Work, all in accordance with the attached Plans and these Specifications:

LIONS PARK LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS

The Contractor shall install four new MUSCO Sports Lighting "Light-Structure Green" poles, four new prefabricated concrete bases, 54 new MUSCO Sports Lighting "Smart Lamp" 1,500 Watt metal halide luminaires, wire harnesses, and crossarms, all to be furnished by the Owner at the locations shown on the Plans. The Contractor shall install 18 of the new luminaires on the four new poles, and the Contractor shall install 36 of the new luminaires on eight existing poles. The new and existing poles are approximately 60 to 70 feet in height.

KIWANIS PARK LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS

The Contractor shall install seven Sony SNC-RZ25N video cameras that will be furnished by the owner on five existing poles and on two new poles furnished and installed by the Contractor all at the locations shown on the Plans. The Contractor shall furnish and install three sets of new lights to be mounted on existing poles and two sets of new lights to be mounted on the two new poles furnished and installed by the Contractor. The Contractor shall also furnish and install one 120 volt outlet below the panelboard mounted at the existing shelter. The new and existing poles are approximately 30 feet in height.

The Work shall be substantially complete within 35 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto which are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City of Othello, Washington.

The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and dated stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, money order, or bid bond payable to "City of Othello" and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.

Contract Provisions may be examined at City Hall, local plan centers in the project area, or

the office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc. A copy of the Contract Provisions may be obtained, free of charge, in electronic format (PDF on compact disk(s)) along with registration

as a planholder only at the Yakima office of the Project Engineer, Gray & Osborne, Inc.,

107 South Third Street, Yakima, WA 98901, (509)453-4833. Requests for Contract Provisions may be faxed  ((509) 453-5953) or emailed (yakima@g-o.com). Requests must include

Company name, physical address, phone and fax numbers, and email address. Registration as a planholder is required to obtain Contract Addenda. A list of planholders will be made available,

by request, through the Project Engineer's office prior to the bid opening.

A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for February 23, 2011. The conference will begin at City Hall (500 East Main Street) at 11:00 AM (local time). Prospective bidders are encouraged to participate.
