The Board of Supervisors for Moses Lake and Warden Conservation
Districts has one elected position and one appointed position each
available.
The Board of Supervisors for Moses Lake and Warden Conservation Districts has one elected position and one appointed position each available. This position is unpaid, volunteer three-year term ending in 2014 with an average time commitment of 3-10 hours per month. The position is open to anyone who is a land owner/registered voter within the Moses Lake and Warden Conservation Districts boundaries.
The election to fill the elected position will be held on March 1, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Pillar Rock Grill, 1373 Road F 2 10 NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837. All land owners/registered voters residing within the Moses Lake and Warden Conservation Districts are eligible to vote. Board members and associate supervisors direct the district's focus and work. This includes working with staff on district business as well as developing the district's mission statement and plan to achieve it. The district works with youth, agencies, industry and most importantly farmers to accomplish conservation of natural resources. The current program emphasizes water and air quality issues, soil loss, education, and youth activities. All district meetings are open to the public.
Applications may be picked up at Moses Lake and Warden Conservation District Offices: 170 N Broadway, Othello. An application may be requested by calling the Washington State Conservation Commission at 360-407-6202.
Conservation Districts of Washington State are governed by RCW 89.08.
