COULEE CITY - Sometimes when a team is unbeaten and top-ranked,

even a near-100-point game can be a letdown.

Despite Saturday's 99-59 Bi-County win over St. Michael, the

Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors (18-0, 6-0) took a while to get out

of the gate before pouring it on.

ACH led only 24-15 after the first quarter and 46-34 at halftime before finally getting on track against St. Michael's (3-10, 1-4) with a 32-11 game-deciding third quarter.

Cody Jess led ACH with 23 points, Thunder Wellhausen added 18 points, Derek Isaak and Colin Deyarmin each scored 12 points, Robert Hurka contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Brandon Boutain finished with 10 points.

On Friday night, ACH dismantled rivals Odessa-Harrington 83-41.

The Warriors used a strong 47-21 first half to pull out the win.

Isaak led ACH with 16 points, Boutain had 15 points, and Jess 14 points for the Warriors
