Notice is hereby given that a Minor Zone Change and SEPA
Checklist were initiated by Grant County on December 22, 2011.
Grant County adopts the 1999 (and updated 2006) Comprehensive Plan
and combined EIS and expects to issue a DNS for this proposal under
the Optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355.

Notice is hereby given that a Minor Zone Change and SEPA Checklist were initiated by Grant County on December 22, 2011. Grant County adopts the 1999 (and updated 2006) Comprehensive Plan and combined EIS and expects to issue a DNS for this proposal under the Optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355. The proposal may include mitigation measures under the applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROPOSED MITIGATION: None. PROJECT: A Minor Zone Change of several parcels located in the Cascade Valley area from Urban Residential 3 to Urban Residential 2, in order to make the Zoning District of the subject area consistent with the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Designation, which was changed as part of the 2002 Comprehensive Plan amendment process. PRESENT ZONING: Urban Residential 3. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: None. STUDIES SUBMITTED: None. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code. LOCATION: The subject area is located in Cascade Valley. Parcels are located in Sections 8, 9, 16, 17, 20, 21, 28 and 29, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, WM, Grant County, WA. A complete list of Assessor parcel numbers can be obtained from the Planning Department. OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING: Planning Commission hearing tentatively scheduled at 7:00 pm on February 1, 2012, in the Commissioners' Hearing Room of Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. At this time any person(s) may appear and provide testimony.
