Ron Elliott

Ron Elliott, 57, passed away Thursday, December 08, 2011, surround by his loving family at Central Washington Hospital,

Ron was born October 1, 1954 to Robert "Bob" and Norma Elliott in Soap Lake, WA. He attended Soap Lake High School where he loved playing football, baseball and wrestling. He graduated from SLHS in 1972.

In 1973 Ron married Sue Luddington and started a family. Ron and Sue welcomed their first child, Christina, in 1975. Two years later Scott was born and Rob followed in 1980.

He joined the Real Estate business in 1975. He loved the work and challenge of Real Estate and worked with Sue's parents for many years.

For over 30 years Ron was extremely active in the Loyal Order of the Moose. He participated in many worthwhile community benefits. Ron was especially honored to be involved with the Ephrata Flag Association. One of his latest projects that he took great pride in was the American Flags posted at the entrances to Ephrata.

Ron was an outdoor enthusiast with interests that included hunting, fishing, camping, softball, boating and snowmobiling. He organized two ten-day long hunting trips annually for 10+ years. This camp became a part of who he was.

Ron loved the Ephrata Softball league, and he spent many hours working fields and running tournaments through the summer months in the late 70's and 80's. He was extremely excited when he was able to have his sons on his softball team during the 90's. Ron felt a sense of accomplishment at being physically able to play on the diamond with his two sons. That was a life-long goal of his.

In 2000, Ron and Sue divorced, but remained very close throughout his life.

Ron is survived by: his mother, Norma Guillmette, a brother, Don Elliott and family, all of Soap Lake. He also leaves behind his three children: Christina Hazel, of Vermont, Scott, and wife Bryanna, and Rob, and wife Sarah, of Ephrata. He has 6 grandchildren: Jordynn Hazel, of Vermont, and Nathan, Chyanne, Seth, Lanni, and Jaxon Elliott, of Ephrata. The mother of his children and life-long friend Sue Elliott, of Ephrata, also survives him. Ron also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Ron has gone to join his father, Bob Elliott, brother, Terry Elliott and companion, Kathy Ohmart.

A celebration of Ron's life will be held at the American Legion on Saturday December 17th at 9 a.m.
