MOSES LAKE – Authorities are investigating why a man shot his brother with a shotgun on Thursday morning, and they do not believe it was an accident.

The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m., Ponozzo said. The victim was Rojelio Adame, a brother who lives at the same address. He was struck in the hand, leg and lower torso.

Rogelio fled the scene with two companions and called for aid from a location on Longview Street in Moses Lake. He was transported by Moses Lake Fire Department paradmedics to Samaritan Hospital. His wounds are not considered life-threatening.

There were no further details as of Thursday evening, but Ponozzo said there was some type of confrontation between the brothers before the shooting.
