Public Works encourages recycling electronics

EPHRATA - Grant County Solid Waste is offering four sites at which people my deliver unwanted electronics products for recycling.

According to Solid Waste's Joan Melvin, such products as televisions, e-readers, computers, monitors or laptops no longer in use may be taken to Goodwill Industries in Moses Lake, CDSI Transfer and Recycling Center near Moses Lake, Consolidated Disposal Service in Ephrata or the Grand Coulee Moose Lodge No. 504.

This free service is not for everyone. Homeowners and businesses with fewer than 50 employees, school districts, small government agencies, special purpose districts, non-profit organizations or charities are eligible.

There are items that will not be accepted at these sites. They include keyboards, mice, printers VCR/DVD players, game systems, peripherals, cell phones and other items. You may call Grant County Solid Waste at 754-6082 with questions.
