WENATCHEE - A special meeting hosted by the Washington State Department of Transportation here on Jan. 11 seeks public comment on plans for special plans for access to transportation for low income, disabled, elderly and rural citizens.

According to the WSDOT's Jef Lucero, federal funding provides  support for programs to effect such access. The state administers the grants.

"Anyone interested in how WSDOT selects projects and monitors grantees is encouraged to attend," Lucero said.

The meeting will be held in the WSDOT North Central Region building at 2830 Euclid Ave., building B. It will get under way at 2 p.m.
