MLCA girls basketball take two games over weekend

ROYAL CITY - The Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) girls basketball team hit the road Saturday to take on the Royal and found little resistance from the Knights in a 58-6 rout.

The Lions jumped out front 20-1 in the first period of play and led 34-4 at intermission. MLCA out scored Royal 22-4 in the second half to cruise to an easy win.

"We were concerned heading to a much larger school from a tough classification and a tough conference, " coach Bryce McPartland said. "But the girls turned in a solid balanced all around effort. I attribute the difference in the score to all the hard the team has put in  the offseason."

McKenna Walker and Anna Yarbro led the way for the Lions with 10 points each.
