| December 6, 2011 5:00 AM

Lillie Nuss, 94, longtime resident of Moses Lake, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011.

Lillie was born on June 10, 1917 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to the late Peter and Katherine (Herdt) Drumheller. She married J. George Nuss on Feb. 2, 1936 in Bayard, Nebraska. They farmed the Minatare area until 1955 when new farming opportunities brought them to Moses Lake, where they continued farming until retirement in 1978.

A proud farmer's wife, Lillie enjoyed many activities which included reading, cooking, gardening, attending church, and listening to music. She rarely missed the Lawrence Welk Show. Most of all, Lillie loved being with her family.

Lillie is survived by her three children, Judy (Roger) Yost of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Jack Nuss of Sacramento, California and Pamela Carsey of Spokane, Washington; five grandchildren, Debbie (Paul) Krantz, Monica (Bob) Day, Doug (Kari) Yost, Mary (Randy) Sater and Scott (Jenny) Carsey; six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Peter Drumheller, Jr.; sister, Pauline Middleton and granddaughter, Tracy Fischer.

Lillie's outgoing nature touched the lives of many, but at her request, no memorial service will be held. Her family asks that you keep them in your prayers. They would like to thank the wonderful staff at Central Basin Home Health & Hospice, the Moses Lake Clinic, Samaritan Healthcare, Central Washington Hospital and Kayser's Chapel for their tender care. We love you, Grandma. We will miss you. Arrangements in care of Kayser's Chapel.
