Consolidated Disposal Services, Inc. has filed a request with

the Washington Utilities &Transportation Commission (UTC) to

adjust rates effective January 1, 2012.

Consolidated Disposal Services, Inc. has filed a request with the Washington Utilities &Transportation Commission (UTC) to adjust rates effective January 1, 2012. Our last general rate increase was 2005. This request was filed due to increases in operating expenses since our last rate adjustment, including but not limited to increases in wages & benefits, postage, fuel, B&O taxes, medical insurance and other operating costs. These rates are subject to approval by the UTC. They will conduct a UTC staff investigation, review the proposal and may approve, deny, or set rates different from those shown:

The proposed rate increases range from 0% to 5.5% and not all residential services are listed above. The commission has the authority to set final rates that may be either lower or higher from the company's request, depending on the results of its investigation. Commission staff will make a recommendation to commissioners at an open meeting in Olympia, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on December 29, 2011.
