technically complete on November 29, 2011.

Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County on November 21, 2011 from Grant County Airport District #1, DESIGNATED CONTACT: Cliff Naser, 111 Desert Aire Place, Desert Aire, WA 99349, (541) 379-9587; and were found to be technically complete on November 29, 2011. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may

be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained

upon request. PROJECT: This proposal is to install two asphalt parking areas adjacent to the south taxiway. At the west end of the south taxiway a 40-ft by 40-ft (1,600 sq ft) area will be graded level and asphalt paved for parking an EMS MedStar helicopter. At the east end of the same taxiway and on the south side, an area 136-ft by 60-ft (8,160 sq ft) area will be graded and asphalt paved for transient aircraft parking. No fill is required for this project. ZONING: Rural Village Industrial. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Building Permit. STUDIES SUBMITTED: None. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code and International Fire Code. LOCATION: The subject parcel is in a portion of the east half of Section 22 and the west half of Section 23, Township 14 N, Range 23 E, W.M., Grant County, WA. PUBLIC HEARING: None. Box 37, Ephrata WA 98823, (509) 754-2011 extension 620; office hours are 8am - 12pm and 1pm - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Comments must be submitted no later than 5 pm December 16, 2011 to the Planning Department. All comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand delivered or sent by facsimile. All persons, agencies or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code.
