I am writing this letter in support of Bill Bailey for the director of the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District. Bill has been involved with the district for years and knows its mission. He has confidence with the current staff and appreciates the hard work that they do. Bill knows the construction business and was contracted to do work for the district years ago. That work required the removal of silt from sections of the lake. Using machinery silt was removed from Marina, Montlake, Laguna and Goose Ridge. This activity was brought to a halt by several governmental agencies including DOE. Since then the MLIRD has worked closely with these agencies, received permits and started again the removal of lake sediments using a dredge. This is working and will work even better next year. Bill supports this dredging and has ideas how to make it even more productive. His highest goal is the improvement of our lake, and he does not have any axes to grind or a personal agenda. When he tells you he will do something, he will. He is a person you can count on. Please vote for Bill Bailey on Dec. 13 and elect him director of the MLIRD.
