POTHOLES RESER?VOIR - Test results show blue-green algae toxin levels at Potholes Reservoir below action levels, the Grant County Health District announced Friday.

Four samples from the reservoir were gathered Aug. 22. Two samples were collected from the Lind-Coulee area of the reservoir and one sample each was collected from O'Sullivan Shores and Potholes State Park.

All four samples were found to have toxin levels below Washington state recreational guidelines according to preliminary test results.

The health district will retest Potholes for the blue-green algae toxin Aug. 29. Two consecutive weeks of tests below the action level are required before the health district can downgrade the alert level or remove warning signs.
