Dwight David Peterson passed away at the age of 55 in Richland, Washington. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Royal City Nazarene Church, 279 Calla St. with Pastor Tim Snyder officiating. Viewing will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Friday, August 26th at the church. Dwight was born November 16, 1955 in Mountain Home, Idaho and raised in Royal City, Washington where he met his wife/high school sweetheart Valerie and later married her on August 30, 1975. He farmed for many years in Royal City, WA where he retired. After he retired he enjoyed building projects by welding them together and he also enjoyed his many pets. Dwight is preceded in death by his mother Josephine Peterson, brother John Peterson & sister Shirley Estrada. He is survived by his wife Valerie (Funk), father Robert Peterson of Yuma, AZ, sister Alice McDermed of Royal City, WA, sister Roberta "Bertie" Litchfield of Sequim, WA, sister Mary Allestad of Cheney, WA, sister Vera Waite of Middleton, ID, sister Suzie Toftdahl of Royal City, WA & brother Michael "Mike" Peterson of Fallon, NV and their spouses and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dwight & Valerie enjoyed being at home together.
