William J. Monahan, 86, passed away August 17, 2011 in Moses Lake, Wa. Born March 11, 1925 in Minersville, PA to William and Edythe Monahan.

Bill served in both World War II and the Korean War, and was very proud of his service in the Navy. It was during his military service that he learned the pipefitting trade and was a proud member of the Pipefitters union for 40 plus years. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering around the house and watching the Animal Planet program.

He is survived by his wife Gertrude, his brothers Don and Kenny, his sister Patty, his children Tim, Kim and Tom and his granddaughter Sara. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Edythe and his sister Francis.

There will be no service at this time but a memorial service may be held at a later date. Many thanks go out to dad's caregivers who so lovingly assisted and cared for him through his last few years, he thought highly of them.
