TRINIDAD - The Farmer Consumer Awareness Day Chef Extravaganza is the next special event scheduled at White Heron Cellars on Friday, Sept 9.

Three chefs will utilize all local produce and meats to create incredible foods, according to winery owner Cameron Fries. It is coupled with great live music.

"What more could you want?" Fries commented. "It's probably our most amazing event. The chefs just have fun."

The Extravaganza will kick off at 6 p.m. A $25 ticket will get you all you can eat and all the dancing you want.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 24, White Heron will have its annual Tomatofare, which features heirloom tomatoes, chefs, salsa and music.

"Just the colors and shapes of the tomatoes alone make this worthwhile," Fries said.

The tomatoes featured at this 1-5 p.m. event come from far and wide. A $25 ticket will cover tomato tasting, all you can eat and power blues by the Vaughn Jensen Band.
