Kincaid, 87, aces hole for first time

MOSES LAKE - It took him more than half of his life, but Moses Lake resident Ralph Kincaid, recorded his first ever golf hole-in-one.

Kincaid, 87, recorded the feat on Friday at Moses Lake Golf Club's 11th hole which is a 128-yard par three.

"That was the first one I've ever had in 44 years of playing golf," Kincaid said. "It's great. I never thought I'd get a hole-in-one. Everybody says I hit the ball pretty good sometimes being as old as I am. I guess I do hit pretty good."

Kincaid celebrated the feat with some golfing friends afterward. He said a group of he and about 10 other golfers had a drink in the golf club's clubhouse to honor the moment.

Is he ready to do it again?

"I don't know about that, but I'd just hit my age the next time," Kincaid admitted. "I'd like to hit another one, but my best score recently was 92 and have been down to a 10 handicap for a long time. Now I am starting to get under a hundred and so I would like to get a score my age."
