Nora L. Alamos

Nora Alamos 83, long time resident of Moses Lake went to be with our Lord Wednesday August 3, 2011. Her family was with her at the time of her peaceful passing.

Nora was born on July 1, 1928 in Worland Wyoming to Remigio and Refugia Medrano, she was one of thirteen children. She married Lupe Alamos on December 22, 1945, they started their family soon after. In 1952 Lupe and Nora moved to Moses Lake where they raised their children. Nora was a loving and giving person, always thinking and praying for others. Nora was a devoted sponsor to under privileged children overseas.

She leaves behind her husband Lupe of 66 years, her children Vicki, Linda, Lupe, Tom Peggy, Tammy and Rolando. Nora also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren who loved her very much and will miss her deeply. Nora leaves her family my memories, never to be forgotten. Her grandchildren always looked forward to grandmas' homemade tortillas, refried beans and summer barbeques.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents Remigio and Refugia Medrano, 2 brothers, 1 sister and a great-great grandson Elijah. Nora was devoted to her Catholic faith, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Guild, and La Virgin De Guadalupe Cursillistas.

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 200 N Dale Rd in Moses Lake on Sunday August 21, 2011 at 4p.m., and a reception to follow at the CCD Center.
