Wilbert, Leonard, Hansen, Martin win men's/ladies' golf tournament

DESERT AIRE - Richard Wilbert, Dree Leonard, Ed Hansen and Norm Martin combined forces last week to win the annual Men's & Ladies' 2-day Scramble at the Desert Aire Golf Course.

The Wilbert team scored 138 in the gross score only event. The second-place team of Mark Sand, Judy Martin, Doug Kreie and Cleo Weber finished two strokes back at 140.

Third place, with 141, went to the team of Dave Slezak, James Eriksen, Joann Pugsley and Lawrence Buchanan.

Finishing fourth at 142 were Dianna Henson, Howard Grondahl, Bill Norberg and Sandra Wolf. They were tied by the team of Brian Mullen, James Landis, Win Clow and Arday Hegelson.

Taking sixth place, at 143, was the team of Tom Johnson, Jerry Armstrong, Steve Bourbonnie and Joan West. Seventh place, at 144, went to Tom Weyand, Sandy Landis, Ralph Bacon and Betty Moore.
