Grant County Fair to close Saturday

MOSES LAKE - The Grant County Fair, which has been celebrating its 100th anniversary this week, has two more days to run, today and tomorrow, at the Grant County Fairgrounds.

The fair got under way on Tuesday. Games from yesteryear, such as the penny toss and the three-legged race, have been one of the highlights.

A highlight of the fair is the Moses Lake Round-up Rodeo. It started on Thursday and will finish today and tomorrow. The action will get under way at 7:30 p.m. both evenings.

Admission to the fair is $7 for adults, $5 for youths and $2 for kids (8-12). Children enter free of charge.

The Grant County Fair is the principal exposition in the county for the agricultural industry. There are also commercial exhibits, a carnival midway and numerous food vendors.

Entertainment on Friday evening will the Hispanic musical group Destino Norteā€“o. Saturday will see performances by Lake City Blues and Evolution, a Tribute to Journey.

Ending a week of performances will be Mario Manzini's Tribute to Houdini, and hypnotist Jerry Harris.
