Failure to yield leads to injury near Mattawa

MATTAWA - A Mattawa man's failure to yield caused a crash just south of Mattawa Friday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Miguel Dominguez-Luna, 29, Mattawa, was driving a 1997 Honda Civic westbound on Road 25 Southwest at about 9:30 p.m., the report stated.

While traveling through an intersection Dominguez-Luna collided with a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Shawna RL Bolen, 30, Beverly.

Neither driver was hurt, but Dominguez-Luna's passenger, Simon Ramirez-Flores, 54, Sunnyside, was transported by ambulance to the Othello Hospital with reported facial injuries.

Dominguez-Luna was cited for failure to yield, negligent driving in the second degree and DUI, the report stated.

The Civic was totaled and towed, and the Explorer was driven from the scene despite damage.
