MOSES LAKE - Two males, ages 14 and 16, were booked into the Grant County Juvenile Detention Center Thursday after BB guns were used to damage home and vehicle windows.

Moses Lake police responded to Ninth Avenue after receiving a report of malicious mischief, according to Moses Lake Police Capt. Dave Ruffin.

Police discovered suspects used BB guns to shoot out windows from two vehicles.

Over the next hour officers were dispatched to approximately 10 more incidents involving BB gun damage, Ruffin said.

Along with Ninth Avenue, incidents were reported on Loop Drive, Clover Drive, Broadway Avenue, Crouse Street, Gibby Drive, Walnut Avenue, Hill Avenue and Oregon Street. Damage was done to vehicles and residences, and Ruffin said. In some locations there was more than one victim.

With the help of various witnesses police were able to develop a description of the suspect vehicle, which was located at about 8 p.m. in west Moses Lake, Ruffin said.

The two juveniles, both from Moses Lake, were arrested for felony malicious mischief. The BB gun/guns used in the incidents have not yet been recovered, Ruffin said.

The case is under investigation, and Moses Lake Police are still trying to locate victims and assess damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Moses Lake Police Department at 509-764-3887.
