Mattawa mobile home destroyed by fire

MATTAWA - A trailer home was destroyed by a fire in Mattawa Tuesday evening.

The fire quickly burned through the residence on East Fourth Street which was vacant for some time according to Grant County District 8 Fire Chief Dave Hargroves.

Three engines, rescue truck and ambulance responded to the blaze, which did minimal damage to two adjacent mobile homes and burned a vehicle parked near the main structure fire, Hargroves said.

Law enforcement is attempting to find and question two juvenile males about the fire, which is considered suspicious, Hargroves said.
