Tom Akins

Tom Akins, 67, of Rockport, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011. He was born August 28, 1943, to Charles M. Akins and Jean (Parsons) Akins Reynolds, in Cleveland, TN.

Tom loved fishing, horseback riding and especially spending time with his beloved wife Cynthia and his long lost Mother and Brother whom he was able to reconnect with after 50 years.

He was a Vietnam Vet and proudly served in the U.S. Army Drill Team that appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in the 1960's.

Tom is preceded in death by his father, and one son; Paul Akins. He is survived by his mother; Jean Parsons Reynolds, wife; Cynthia Lynn Akins of Rockport, AR, one daughter; Michelle (Rich) Neves of Kirkland, WA, one brother; Rick (Donna) Reynolds of Prattville, AR, one sister; Patricia Akins of Jacksonville, FL, and one grandchild; Conner Neves.

A private Memorial Service will be held by the family at a later date.
