Othello gallery hosts Coulee City art

OTHELLO - Acrylic artist Tom Seward, of Coulee City, is the featured artist for the month of August at the Old Hotel Art Gallery in Othello.

Seward, an acrylic artist, moved to Coulee City from Illinois.

"At first, it was difficult for me to see the natural art potential in the northwest, because of the rich, fertile landscapes of Illinois and Kentucky as compared to the wide open spaces of the high desert with its barren areas and canyons," said Seward. "Now, I enjoy this scenery and I have learned to paint it and the particular desert light."
