Cougars just miss course record

WARDEN - Sage Hills golf course is considered home sweet home for the Warden Cougars linksters.

For the opposition it could be the 'House on Haunted Hill' as far as many of them are concerned.

That's because the Cougars can be downright scary at home.

On Tuesday, the Cougars shot a spectacular team score of 330 as Warden's Brandon Wurzer, Trent Bates, and Kenny Sullivan all shot 82s to earn Tri-Medalist honors as their team rolled past visiting Lake Roosevelt.

The team's score was only two strokes short of a course record, 328, set in 1993, according to Warden head coach Steve Tolley.

Conrad Ruge scored an 87 to round out the qualifying tallies for Warden while Lake Roosevelt, having brought only three golfers could not record a potential win.
