EPHRATA - A six-run rally in the top of the seventh was enough to push the Othello Huskies to victory while yank the heart strings of the host Ephrata Tigers yesterday.

Ephrata dominated play through six innings to lead 2-0 going into the final Othello at bat, before the Huskies' rally which included a five-run rally with two outs.

"It's tough but Othello is a good hitting team," "We had a freshman pitcher who had kept them under control all game long throwing strikes. Their hits were just starting to fall with seeing eye singles. They were balls that we couldn't get to and then we had an error on a throw."

That freshman was Chandler Gribble who threw 6.2 innings with one strikeout and one hit batter. He had allowed only two hits until the final Othello at-bat and seven for the game.

"He pitched great and had Othello off balance," "The first time through the order he established his fast ball right away. He located really well. I am very proud of how he pitched."

Ephrata is now 7-11 overall and 6-10 in Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) play.

Othello (14-4, 12-4) won an earlier contest between the two teams in Othello to sweep the season series.
