MOSES LAKE - Wilfred J. Bell, 70, Soap Lake, died after his 2003 Jeep Wrangler left state Route 17 and rolled on Thursday.

Bell died at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake from blunt force trauma to his head, neck and chest, according to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison.

He was driving the Jeep on SR 17, about four miles north of Moses Lake, when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, causing it to roll and landing on its side, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Traffic on SR 17 was reduced Thursday evening as the state patrol investigated the wreck.

The cause was Bell driving with his wheels off the road, according to the state patrol.

He did not have any passengers and he was wearing his seat belt.
